One of the highest priorities of CRG has been the creation and support of alternate and independent media. Since our inception in 2002, we have realized the importance of informing the local community of important issues that “just seem” to be trivialized or completely ignored by mainstream media. We have looked for ways to have more progressive and constructive voices heard on local radio and television. Besides promoting letters to the editor and various op/ed pieces, interviews and local discussion, we currently support alternative papers, Peoples Press and First Issues and the the broadcasting of Democracy Now! on the local PBS station, KIXE. Our intention is to continue to press forward with these efforts, to give you a voice. Many things can be done with the support and backing of our community.
